Guyana @ 50 - "Sponge" Cake

In Guyana we call pound cake, sponge cake. Well, come on, look at the colour of the crumb when the cake is cut, it does look like sponge :)) And we are a people known for calling things just as we see them. We ain't about fancy names. Served at tea, for dessert or a snack, a thick slice of pound cake is a favourite.
