You don't need a grill to get this charred, smoky, fire-roasted corn but you do need some gas. A gas stove that is. I roasted these sweet fresh corn right on my stove top. If you want to make things a little more manageable, then you can get yourself a stove-top grate to which you can add sliced onions, lemons etc.
With corn this fresh and this sweet, I roast it and serve it just as is; no pepper, so salt, no lemon, no butter, no cheese. So good.
