Making this looks so simple and easy. Tell you frankly, I really love to make cake-the simple way. Trying to make a heavily decorated enriched one takes a lot of time and effort which kills the enthusiasm at the end.

We had a delicious black cake flown in from Barbados for my wedding in 2002 which was lovingly marinated with rum at every step along the journey. (Florida, New York and Cali).

Hi Cynthia, I am commenting rather belatedly on you Fruit cake, as I was at Mona's blog and then I found myself here. I liked all the ritual for Christmas preparation and marinating fruits for a year. Actually in Cyprus we also make a Christmas fruit cake.
