Sometimes 'why' is not important...

>> Sunday, 29 August 2010

I have a ridiculous obsession with tea infusers! Seriously. I am not kidding. The other day I had to literally tear myself away from picking up 3 infusers, 2 of which I already owned! You would think that someone this obsessed with tea infusers must drink tea daily or twice a day? Oh no! Continue reading the column to find out how often I drink tea and my justification for having a variety. Sometimes 'why' is really not important.

What are your kitchen obsessions? And I'd love to hear your justifications!

Hope you are having a great weekend!

I love your tea infusers. I myself am a coffee drinker--cappuccino-cafe au lait-cafe con leche--but sometimes I really like tea--chai and green tea are my favorites.Hope you are having a great weekend too Cynthia.

Gorgeous pics Cynthia! Every gal should have an obsession!
My obsession is with scarves. But I do not let myself give into my obsessions (some may call me type A!)....but lately I have been telling myself to indulge and have already added 2 or 3 scarves to be used in the winter!

Well, ever since we watched the Good Eats episode on tea, we've gotten rid of the infusers: they restrict the flow of water to the tea leaves, apparently. Instead, we just do loose-leaf and pour through a strainer.

My obsession is with having whole spices around. Bought in bulk, so that we can make our own spice blends. :0

I have way too many lunchbox gadgets and still always look and buy new ones. My excuse... they make my daughter eat lunches at school better so it is worthy! :)

I'd have to say teapots are my weakness, even if I drink it rarely. I love to have a little one serving teapot for guests.

Oh, Cynthia, that is not at all surprising that you would have so many infusers. Tea drinkers seem so charming, interesting and are such gracious entertainers that, of course, you would have the perfect infuser for ANY occasion.

I think my favorite was the "stylish" infuser. That's a new one to me.

I have a bit of an obsession with tea and infusers, I see them and have to have. I have a cabinet designated to just teas, various china and infusers.

I have a teapot collection and although I drink several cups of tea each day I never use the teapots and just brew each cup individually. This was a refreshing post!

sometimes that is not important and we ignore will become very important and meaningful.
